Alongside all of the many events hosted by the hotel, the Oak Bay community comes alive in August with Oak Bay Arts & Culture Days, an annual event celebrating Oak Bay as a premier cultural destination and highlighting the cultural vibrancy of the community.

Winemakers Long Table Dinner | August 8 & 29
These fabulous dinners will include a multi-course family-style dinner created by Executive Chef Kreg Graham, with British Columbia wines presented and poured by our guest winemakers and winery owners.
Our July Winemakers Long Table Dinners are now sold out! Discover our August Winemakers Long Table Dinners, featuring Unsworth Vineyards on August 8th and Black Hill Estate Winery on August 29.

Sunday Morning Yoga on the Seaside Terrace | Every Sunday in August
Join us Sunday mornings from 9:30 – 10:30, all summer, for yoga on our Seaside Terrace. Drop in fee is $20 per person or complimentary for hotel guests.

Oak Bay Summer Night Market | August 14, 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Oak Bay Avenue becomes a European style market between 4 and 8 pm. Each market features a variety of in-season produce from southern Vancouver Island as well as preserves, baked goods, street food and beer, wine and spirits. There is live music, a magician, pop-up theatre, face painting and balloon animals. For a full list of vendors, visit here.

Join us in the Lobby Lounge to enjoy music by local artists Craig Henderson, Morry Stearns, Nic Whitehouse and Ryan Zak over various dates this summer.

Free Summer Concerts in the Park | August 8, 22
Oak Bay Parks and Recreation hosts free summer concerts in the park featuring differnt local artists. An easy walk from the hotel, the concerts re from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm at Willows Beach. We recommend visiting Kates Cafe to pick up some light snacks on your way there. For artist information and times, visit here.

Free Performance by Raven Baroque | August 11, 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm
Join Victoria’s 14 piece baroque strings group in Willows Beach Park for a beautiful outdoor acoustic performance. Featuring celebrated music from great composers performed by some of Victoria’s finest classical musicians. Learn more here.

Guided Public Sculpture Walking Tour | August 13, 10:30 a.m.
Join members of our Public Arts Advisory Committee and special guests and local poetsJoy Hubert, Gisela Ruebsaat and Susan Braley on a walking tour taking in the ArtsAlive sculptures on Oak Bay Avenue. More information here.

Community Picnic, Concert Band and Outdoor Movie | August 29, 2019
Meet your friends, family and neighbours at Carnarvon Park for a community picnic with entertainment from the Monterey Concert Band playing some great tunes at 6:30 pm. Stay until the sun sets (approx.. 8pm) to take in an outdoor movie on the big screen at 8:00 pm! Food trucks will be onsite.
