Dillon is passionate about providing world-class concierge services to guests at the Oak Bay Beach Hotel. He has proudly been a member of Les Clefs d’Or (The Golden Keys) for over a decade. In 2015 Dillon was appointed Regional Director of this esteemed organization.

What do you consider your greatest personal achievement?
All of my friends across the world.

What do you consider your greatest professional achievement?
Being awarded my Les Clefs d’Or (Golden Keys) in 2004.

What historical figure do you most identify with?
Captain James Cook- never stop exploring!

Which living person do you most admire?
Trevor Linden, loyalty to his city, passion and community.

Who are your heroes in real life?
People who care for animals and who protect our wild spaces on earth for future generations.

What is your favourite hotel experience?
Swimming in an infinity pool on the 18th floor in Kuala Lumpur.

Which word or phrase do you most overuse?
Absolutely or 100%.

If you could change one thing about the tourism industry, what would it be?
Peace in war torn countries – Many are beautiful and should be explored.

What is your most treasured possession?
My Canadian passport or my golden keys.

If you were not in the Pacific Northwest, where would you like to live?
Pacific Islands perhaps – maybe Fiji.

What is the quality you most look for in a potential new concierge employee?
Someone who is always exploring and has a passion for hospitality.

What is your motto in keeping a work-life balance?
As long as I have Thursdays off in the summer to play cricket, I am happy!
