Michelle Le Sage | General Manager It would be difficult to find a more passionate or committed hotel industry professional than Michelle. During her career at the Oak Bay Beach Hotel, she has created a team culture that is immediately apparent when a guest arrives at our exclusive boutique property. Michelle holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurial Management from Royal Roads University. Her industry peers at the BC Hotel Association recently presented Michelle with the ‘2016 Hotelier of the Year’ award recognizing her work in the industry.
Phil Trott | Assistant General Manager For more than 23 years, Phil has been associated with some of the most elite hospitality companies in North America. His management experiences range from lavish 5-star resorts and luxurious city properties, to the largest single-site helicopter skiing resort in the world. Following Hotel and Restaurant Management studies in the early 90’s, Phil began his career journey and aspired to various appointments, as Department Head, Division Head, Director of Operations, and his current position as Assistant General Manager of The Oak Bay Beach Hotel.
Kreg Graham | Executive Chef Chef Kreg Graham, now with 19 years of experience in international 5-star kitchens, joined The Oak Bay Beach Hotel in October of 2015 as Executive Chef, applying a strong expertise in fine cuisine and culinary management. When asked about his philosophy on food and cooking, Kreg will tell you that in order to create extraordinary cuisine, one must begin with the best ingredients available; and the measure of a chef is in sourcing exceptional ingredients and forming long lasting relationships with the artisans and purveyors, who grow, fish and raise or hunt those ingredients. Chef Graham holds this dearly, treating food with respect and accentuating the best qualities, pairing wisely, cooking simply and with elegance.
Madone Pelan | Director of Sales and Marketing Madone Pelan’s career has been driven by a love for travel, a passion for the hospitality industry and a curiosity that ignites the desire for lifelong learning. She has been a sales manager in the Leisure, Tour and Group markets for Fairmont Hotels before taking the helm as Director of Sales and Marketing at The Oak Bay Beach Hotel. She volunteers her time and efforts annually to various local charities and continues to find ways to give back to her community. She also serves on the Destination Greater Victoria Marketing Committee and was recently awarded Top 20 under 40 for Vancouver Island. She is involved in PCMA, MPI, CSAE and other industry associations and is the current sitting President with MPI’s BC Chapter.
Dillon Carfoot | Chef Concierge Dillon brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his role as Chef Concierge at the Oak Bay Beach Hotel with 20 years of luxury hotel experience including 14 years with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. Most notably, Dillon is a member of the esteemed Les Clefs d’Or (The Golden Keys) which is the international professional designation for hotel concierges. Dillon has proudly held this distinction for more than a decade. In 2012, Dillon was elected to the British Columbia regional board of Les Clefs d’Or where he successfully held positions of Treasurer,Vice Director and then in 2015 as Director. In 2017 Dillon was elected to the executive board as National Secretary, and then in 2019 he was elected as the new National Vice President. While providing our guests with outstanding Concierge services and leading our Concierge, Valet and Bell Services team, Dillon’s focus is also on elevating our service levels throughout the front of house to truly reflect “Our Best”. Colin MacCrimmon, CPHR | Human Resources Manager Colin is a Chartered Professional in Human Resources with 12 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Originally from Ontario, Colin relocated to British Columbia after graduating from Bishop’s University. Through his career, he has worked with luxury resort properties across the province and internationally with cruise ships. Colin’s background encompasses both front-line and leadership experience in a variety of hotel departments. Ultimately, his passion for training, development, and team-building steered him toward his career in HR. He has been with the Oak Bay Beach Hotel since 2017.
